Terms of Service

These terms are short on purpose. We don't want lawyer-speak getting in the way of the actual deal: you pay for an iPhone app that runs an AI on your device, generates polished reports, and never phones home with your data.

1. The product

OnSiteNotes is an iOS application that lets you capture inspection observations (voice, photos, document scans, file attachments, typed notes), processes them with an on-device AI model into structured findings, and exports a polished PDF inspection report.

2. Where the AI runs

The AI handles all intelligent features — voice transcription (via Apple's on-device speech framework), structured-finding extraction, severity classification, summary generation, and recommendation drafting — entirely on your device's Neural Engine.

3. Who owns your data

You do. Total data ownership: you own your voice notes, your photos, your scans, your reports, your business information, and any output the app produces from your inputs. We claim no rights, no license, and no access to any of it. We can't access it because we never have it.

To delete all your OnSiteNotes data: delete the app from your iPhone. There is no account to close, no export to request, no waiting period. It's all on your device.

4. Subscription and billing

Subscriptions are processed by Apple via the App Store. Pricing is shown in-app before purchase. You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings. We do not see your payment information.

5. Acceptable use

Use OnSiteNotes for any legal professional inspection-reporting purpose. Don't use it to generate reports for properties you're not authorized to inspect, or for any purpose prohibited by Google's Gemma Prohibited Use Policy (the AI model we use). Common-sense limits: no harmful content, no impersonation, no fraud.

6. The AI model

OnSiteNotes uses Gemma 3, Google's open-weight language model, running on Apple's MLX framework. Gemma is governed by the Gemma Terms of Use . AI-generated findings are advisory: always review them with your professional judgment before delivering a report to a client.

7. No warranty

OnSiteNotes is provided "as is." It is a tool you use as part of your professional workflow; the accuracy and completeness of any inspection report remains your responsibility as the licensed inspector.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of OnSiteNotes is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms when the product changes materially. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be surfaced in-app.
